Electrical Laminated Wood Board Electrical Insulation Material

product details

Description

Electrical laminated wood is a high-performance insulation and structural material widely used in oil-filled transformers. It offers an ideal combination of moderate density, excellent mechanical strength, and superior compatibility with transformer oil. With a dielectric constant close to that of transformer oil, it can operate reliably in temperatures up to 105 °C for extended periods. Electrical laminated wood maintains structural integrity under mechanical stress and strong electric fields, making it a reliable alternative to steel plates, insulating paperboards, epoxy paperboards, and epoxy glass cloth boards. Its use helps reduce transformer weight and material costs while ensuring safety and durability.

Features

  • High Mechanical Strength: Provides excellent support under external forces.

  • Good Dielectric Properties: Dielectric constant closely matches transformer oil, ensuring stable insulation.

  • Thermal Stability: Suitable for long-term operation in transformer oil up to 105 °C.

  • Oil Compatibility: Resistant to degradation when immersed in transformer oil.

  • Lightweight & Cost-Effective: Can replace heavier metal or composite parts, reducing transformer weight and costs.

  • Easy Processing: Can be cut, shaped, and machined according to transformer design requirements.

Applications

  • Used as an insulating material in electrical transformers, motors, and generators.

  • Serves as structural support in electrical panels and cabinets.

  • Manufactured into upper and lower pressure pieces in transformers.

  • Used as cable-supporting beams.

  • Forms limbs and spacer blocks in oil-immersed transformers.

  • Used as clamps in instrument transformers.

  • Replaces steel plates, insulating paper sheets, epoxy paper sheets, and epoxide woven glass fabric laminates.

  • Helps reduce costs and overall weight of transformers while maintaining excellent insulation and mechanical strength.
