Description

G-5 and G-9 glass melamine laminates are composite materials made from continuous filament glass cloth impregnated with a heat-resistant melamine resin binder. These laminates are hard, flame-resistant, and possess excellent electrical insulating properties even under wet or humid conditions.

G-5: An older designation largely replaced by G-9. It may still appear in older drawings or documentation but is fully interchangeable with G-9.

G-9: The modern standard, offering superior flame and arc resistance, mechanical strength, and dimensional stability.
