Description
Mica Paper is a high-performance insulating material produced from muscovite mica, phlogopite mica, synthetic mica, or calcined mica through pulping and papermaking processes. Supplied in continuous rolls with uniform thickness, mica paper retains the excellent electrical insulation, heat resistance, and chemical stability of natural mica.
Due to its low mechanical strength, mica paper is generally used as a base material and further processed with silicone resin, glass fiber cloth, or other reinforcing materials to manufacture mica sheets, mica tapes, mica rolls, mica tubes, and various heat-resistant insulation products. It is widely applied in high-temperature and electrical insulation systems.
Features
Excellent electrical insulation and dielectric performance
High temperature resistance
Muscovite mica paper: up to 500–700°C
Phlogopite mica paper: up to 750–850°C
Synthetic or calcined mica paper: up to 1000°C
Stable chemical properties and good moisture resistance
Flexible structure with good tensile strength
Uniform thickness and consistent quality
Good permeability and air permeability
Environmentally friendly and non-asbestos
Applications
Mica paper is mainly used as a reinforcing insulation material combined with resins and other substrates to produce mica insulation products such as mica tapes, mica sheets, mica rolls, mica tubes, mica laminates, and mica washers.
Typical application fields include electrical and thermal insulation in household appliances, wire and cable systems, industrial heating equipment, rail transportation, new energy vehicles, metallurgy, chemical industry, and power generation and distribution systems.
