Mica Tube (Muscovite & Phlogopite) for High Temperature Electrical Insulation Applications

product details

Description

Mica Tube is a tubular insulation product made from high-quality muscovite or phlogopite mica paper bonded with silicone resin. Compared with traditional ceramic tubes, mica tubes offer high mechanical strength, precision, sound insulation, high-temperature resistance, non-fragility, and low dimensional tolerance.

Mica tubes are used in electrical insulation for wires, cables, and insulators, effectively isolating current and preventing arcs, leakage, or fire. They are also widely used in high-temperature furnaces and heating elements, particularly in the glass and industrial heating industries.

Custom sizes, diameters, and thicknesses can be manufactured to meet specific application requirements.

Features

  • Electrical insulation in power equipment, transformers, motors, and high-voltage devices

  • Protective layers for wires and cables

  • High-temperature furnaces and heating elements in industrial processes, including glass production

  • High-temperature insulation in chemical, metallurgical, and industrial plants

Applications

  • Calcined Muscovite Mica Tape is widely used as a fire-resistant layer in essential and emergency cable systems:

  • Power and control cables in high-rise buildings, tunnels, industrial plants, and data centers

  • Fire-resistant cables for emergency lighting, fire safety systems, and critical installations

  • Electrical systems in oil platforms, aerospace, ships, and military facilities

  • It ensures continuous operation and electrical safety during and after fire exposure.
