Description
Rigid Mica Sheet, also known as mica plate or mica board, is a high-performance insulation material manufactured from approximately 90% mica paper bonded with 10% high-temperature silicone resin, then heat-pressed into rigid sheets. Available in thicknesses from 0.1 mm to 100 mm, with 0.3–1.5 mm being the most commonly used range, rigid mica sheets are designed for high-temperature and high-voltage applications.
This material offers excellent mechanical strength and electrical insulation, with a typical dielectric strength of 16 kV/mm. Depending on the mica type, muscovite mica sheets withstand 500–700°C, while phlogopite mica sheets resist 750–850°C. Due to their stable performance and reliability, rigid mica sheets are widely used as electrical and thermal insulation components in industrial and household applications.

Applications
Rigid mica sheets are widely used as electrical and thermal insulation components in high-temperature and high-voltage environments. Thin sheets are typically punched into gaskets and washers, while thicker sheets are machined into structural insulation parts.
Typical applications include heating elements and insulation components in household appliances, furnaces, motors, transformers, power generation and distribution equipment, and electric or hybrid vehicles. They are also used for insulation cards, barriers, covers, and custom-shaped protective parts requiring excellent thermal, mechanical, and electrical performance.
